So I just checked my fall semester grades on ISIS.
I've heard that to pass, you need a "C" or better.
I got a "C-" for orgo 1 and it said that I earned 3 credits for it and I carried it on.
so....
2 questions
1. Did I really pass this class and earned 3 credits
and
2. Am I officially allowed to move on to Orgo 2 with the prereq CHM2210's grade of a "C-"?
Thanks a bunch!!!

no, unfortunately you will have to retake. But you do still earn the credit hours.

Unfortunately, DiGamma is correct. Who did you take for organic 1, if you do not mind me asking? …Portmess?

Castellano.
I was really really close to a C.
Do you think I have a shot at talking to a Chemistry advisor on this because I really don’t want to take this all over again. I really do understand the material.

We didn’t realize they closed down spring reg today and it doesn’t reopen until 1/4. Aaaargh! We figured if folks had to re-take classes then classes they’d already scheduled would open up. We’re still trying to get a period 4 or 6 diffy q class; she so doesn’t want her period 10. Why does UF do this?

zebes

Hey danny, I think the only way you can possibly have a case is if you did well on the final (showing you matured in the end in terms of the material learned throughout the course and for a possible lackluster performance in the course throughout the semester), that would be your most powerful argument in trying to get it turned to a passing C, although I never heard of anyone going through with it but its worth a try?

but if your pre-professional and want to get into a health school then I just highly advise you retaking the course, as a C or C’s are generally viewed as a bruise on the transcript. If not going to grad school, argue away with the chem advisor!

Thanks Yankee Boy!
