My S got his acceptance into McCombs this morning. He is auto-admit and applied in August. Got auto admit notice in mid-December and has been waiting for McCombs since then. Tremendously relieved that his wait is over.

@RedHeadedMommy I have not ever posted them. He is top 6 percent with a 2100 SAT with reading and math being higher than writing. NM Commended. Will have 10 APs by graduation. Has solid ECs and leadership but not by CC standards. His essays were probably 7/10s. Kids above him in rank will almost all go to selective schools or to schools that offer full rides, so his school is pretty competitive.
He started the application on October 12 but did not complete it until November 9 when he uploaded the essays. He is auto admit and was notified on December 3.
DS did go on to submit the recommended but not required bits - resume and hs course info on 11/11 then 2 letters of recommendations were received on 12/2 and 12/8.
His resume includes a life guarding job, blackbelt in Tae Kwon do, 1 year of band, officer positions in SNHS and HOSA, participation in PALS with community service hours in these actives.

It has been an interesting time trying to “get schooled” in this college admission process…somehow it just seems like it is “crazy-ville” out there…I am not sure what you are referring to his “ECs and leadership but not by CC standards”… your son has obviously worked hard and achieved a lot! My next child may not “present as well” in college admissions as my oldest son–yet is super hard-working, fabulous social skills and really quite smart (ok…sounds like a mom talking)-who know what this process will be like for him!
Congrats again on your son’s admission to McCombs Business School–be sure to celebrate tonight! You have BOTH earned it =)

@JTUni20 and @photographergal , I do not know. I know my daughter did not have anything on her My Status page yesterday evening, but when we checked early this morning, it was there. Seemed other people started immediately posting results at the same time. Not sure if that means there will be others today or not.
