Waiting to find out if my Liberal Arts application was accepted … Waiting is the worst.
Still in review…I hope last night was not the only round of notification before Christmas break! Really hoping to hear good news before the break!
I can not believe it! DS3 received an email today to check his My Status.
He was accepted into McCombs for business!
He has a fabulous resume, leadership, top 10% but, not auto-admit. The thing is, he has a 1400 (CR + M) score.
We were thinking that might be too low. -especially since his older brother was rejected two years ago with a very similar resume and a 33 ACT score for
engineering. We were expecting another rejection. I will say UT accepted the right kid between the two, as far as fit goes.
DS3 has a tough choice ahead of him but he wants to major in accounting and UT is #1 consistently for that.
Wow! So happy for him! Hook 'Em!

@sunbeams I got an e-mail telling me MyStatus has been updated in the last 24 hours at 2:46 Mountian Time (3:46 Texas)
No more majore decisions will be released until January 4th
@sunbeams He’s been checking every day. The email came at 4:00 Texas time.
It must have updated sometime before that today.
Son got admit email today at 4:45p Eastern Time. OOS (Connecticut).
Neuroscience. Very happy for him.

“The decision released last night have been released completely. That’s all for now”…

Auto admit, top 5%, NMSF, 35 ACT, 4.3 GPA, with tons of leadership and great resume DD is still waiting, having applied in early Sept…but she got into ND REA this week so she is happy about that. It would be nice to know if she gets her major before the holidays but my son, (same stats) did not hear from Chem E at Cockrell until March when he applied…they were the last one for him. The process is screwy…But so happy for all of the kiddos finding out sooner. You deserve to relax and enjoy your winter break and start buying burnt orange gear : )

@sunbeams The email from UT Austin came around 4:15PM CST. Top 15% 3.7 GPA; 15+AP; SAT 1400 (M+CR); Business; tons of EC; Varsity Tennis - State Finals.
@rabihorn was your daughter an auto admit or no?
Also, if this admission wave is over, is the next one not until mid-Feb or march?
