Hi! I am an international student currently on a gap year, hoping to apply to U of Rochester. Atm I cannot decide between a Spring and Fall entry, and was hoping if someone could shed some light on the differences between the two. Do Spring entrants graduate a semester early? Is one round of entry more selective than the other? Thanks!
In the US, schools generally admit for fall. To graduate, you need to complete a certain number of courses or credits, not semesters or terms. For regular first year students, starting in the fall means you are with the rest of your peer group. That is probably not as important for an international student, but you would be starting when not many others are.
