Fall Room Assignments

Fall Room Assignments are up.

I will be in Apollo. Under Roommates Assigned it lists 2 names. My room number ends in A2, roommate #1 ends in A1, and roommate #2 ends in C1. Why do I have more than one roommate listed? Apollo does not do triples.

mine is not up yet…

Apollo has some 5 person suites. These are two double rooms and one single room who share a common area and a bathroom. My guess is the the B room (beds B1 and B2) haven’t been assigned yet so just check back from time to time to see who your other suitemates are.

D’s Fall assignment is not up yet.

Thanks seiclan, that makes sense. I didn’t know that they displayed all the suitemates, since they didn’t do that for summer.

My D’s isn’t up yet either. I hate the waiting…

I just checked and my room assignment is up too!

Can someone please tell me what it means exactly though? It says I’m in the Apollo Community, Lake Hall building room LAK-138C1. What room exactly am I getting? I think that this building has the 5 person suite but I can’t tell if I have a room with a room mate or if I got the single room. No room mate information is listed, it’s just blank. Help is appreciated!

Wow, looks like you (marlins97) got the single in the suite. Call on housing on Tuesday and verify this. When there is no other roommate info (ie. A and B rooms) it means it hasn’t been assigned yet. Don’t worry, eventually they will update it and there will be others.

Why do you think that some have their assignments while most do not?

no clue^^^

They probably go in order by the day you signed up. I signed up for housing in December. I am not sure if this is how it works though.

I’m not sure if that’s how it goes either knightforum, but if that’s the case then I will probably have to wait a couple of days until june, I didn’t sign up until February.

knightforum- can you tell me the date you signed up and the date you were confirmed for housing? since there are no confirmation numbers to give us a clue, i’m not sure where we all stand. maybe we can figure it out this way… :-)

Received: 12/09/08
Confirmed: 03/25/09

I was confirmed months later because I had a fee deferment.

I have summer housing as well, which could be why I have a fall assignment this early.

thanks for the info! we signed up on 12/29, confirmed on 02/05…and D is not honors. Perhaps the honors thing has something to do with it as well. we know a couple people that have been assigned and they are also in the honors program.

No for fall assignment yet for D, non-honors.

Housing Agreement Received Date: 12/19/2008
Housing Confirmed Date: 02/05/2009

My application date was later than most of your S and D’s but I think since I’m in the Honors College and the fact that we have our orienation next week might have something to do with it. Housing Agreement Received Date: 2/27/09 Housing Confirmed Date: 03/03/2009

I’m glad I got my first choice, a single at Apollo (: I’m pretty excited to see who my room mates are because I haven’t been assigned any just yet.

I just received my housing info as well, I’m doing Towers III Honors in the fall too. I’m guessing that’s why I’ve gotten my information earlier than others.

Looking up the roommates it listed on Facebook though, it seems like all of them are upperclassmen. Is this normal? I was sorta expecting to live with all freshmen, not with sophomores and juniors =/

Jason - Towers has mixed apartments and so yes, you could be placed with upperclassmen. My daughter was put into an apartment last year with a sophomore, a junior AND another freshman. Next year, she is staying in her same room and SO IS the junior…now a senior. Her other two roommates has decided to move off campus.

Gotcha, thinking about it now I remember reading that on the housing agreement thing, I just totally forgot about that.

Do you think living with upperclassmen helped your daughter get used to college life better than living with freshmen would have?
