Fall Schedule - 3 classes in one day?

So my Fall schedule will consist (hopefully) ofthe following:

Chem 14A
Physics 6A
Math 3A

The only problem is that these 3 classes are all MWF. So I will basically be looking at M W F doing 8-8:50, 9-9:50, and 10-10:50 plus LABs and Discussions on Tuesdays/Thursdays.

Is this too stressful or do people usually have 3 classes in 1 day?

not really too stressful, since you've been doing it for like 4 years in hs. i'd rather have the 3 back to back to back and get done way early then have breaks in between.

the main thing i would worry about is if the finals are on the same day or not

i think that schedule would be great for keeping you disciplined, especially since they're early morning classes.

much better than having a short class, a long break, and another short class, which can lead to skipping classes...

it's gonna be just like high school, only you're done at 11 and have the rest of the day to yourself :)

oy 8 am is way too early... i suggest starting at 10 at the earliest lol cause it is really hard to sleep before 1 am... lmao

are you sure you want to tkae 8 am classes twice a week? i guarantee by 3rd week you will be cursing yourself for choosing such early classes. other than that, not too stressful

Well it wasn't really my first choice, but the professor I wanted for Math was only available at 8 AM. I might change that though.

if you are truly dedicated like my roommate, then you will go to the 8 am classes...but if you're normal then you won't

Hey, I would do it. Consecutive classes and ending early beats 9-11, and then taking math at 3PM.

don't you need math 3C as a corequisite for physics 6A? i might be wrong though.

You do, but I'm going to see if I can get around that because I've taken Calculus my Junior Year and passed the AP test and I just took IB Higher Level Math in my Senior Year so maybe they'll let me by (i hope....)

doesn't the BC test gets you credit for 3A and 3B? but anyway if they'll let you take physics 6A then you'll be taking math 3C instead of 3A... so you might need to revise your planned schedule

I didn't take the BC test, just the AB and IB Math test.

hmmm but either way you'll either be taking both 3C and 6A at the same time or 3A and you have to wait til you take 3C to take 6A

You should take 3B fall quarter, and take 6A the subsequent quarter. (assuming you performed well on the AB exam)

Is there a reason why they enforce this? I've taken 2 years of Calculus AP/IB classes at my high school and 2 years of AP/IB Physics. Is there really any course material that I don't know that I need for Physics 6A?

^you'll be fine if you have some inkling of calculus knowledge. i highly doubt that 3A or B is an enforced prereq, but if it is, you won't be able to enroll. i know for a fact that 3C is not enforced.

6 series physics really depends on your professor. some are REALLY easy and others are really hard. make sure you use bruinwalk

anyone heard about the prof named weisbart for math 3c?

also, no honors physics for ls students for nxt yr, fyi. :(

you found out for sure about the honors physics??! why is that? and how did you find out?

i went to the physics undergrad office and asked. i don't know exactly why; i think the office person said something about professors...

Did they give a reason why they're not offering it?
