fall schedule - workload too heavy?

I'm going to be a sophomore this fall, and my schedule looks like this so far:

Econ 101b
Ugba 10
Philosophy 6
Physics for Future Pres.
Art 8
& a PE class
.

I'm mostly worried about Econ 101b since that is the more math-heavy econ class, and ugba mostly because of the competition.

Can anyone tell me how hard econ 101b and philosophy 6 will be? I heard philosophy 6 has a lot of papers. Is Art 8 an easy class? Does it require a lot of time? I'm planning to double major in Business Admin + Econ, but if I don't get into Haas, then I'll be double majoring in Econ + Art Practice, so my schedule gets complicating -___-. Any help / insight would be appreciated :).

Since you are asking how difficult 101b is, I’m assuming you haven’t taken 101a yet and 101a is listed as a prereq for 101b.

This schedule is 18.5 units and probably is a little too much. Art 8 is a 9 hours of studio a week. You’ll need to do BA 10 this semester. Definitely drop the PE class. I assume you have completed your year of math and Econ 1 or AP’d out of those along with having finished statistics. Econ 101B would be doable, but this will be painful unless you drop either Philo 6 or Physics 10 (I recommend dropping Physics 10 and taking Muller in the Spring). The math for Econ 101B is typically not as intense as it would be for Econ 101A and though Econ 101A is a prereq for 101B they really don’t have anything to do with each other.

However, if you struggled with Introductory Economics I would not advise taking Econ 101B without significantly revamping this schedule.
