mrchippy...its on Oasis.

I chechked oasis and logged in and it gave me my schedule... but how do you find out what classes are open still because I got bumped from one of my choices.

you go to oasis and use command prompt SHOW and then the course number. The exact same way you add/drop courses from Oasis except with SHOW instead of ADD

or like was mentioned above you can type SHOW OPEN COURSE NAME
so for example SHOW OPEN PSY and it will show you all the open psych classes

Exactly. Either will get you to see either the exact course you want to see or all courses in a discipline that is open for the respective semester.

thank you soo much!

Oasis is so obnoxious if you don't know the commands. If you go to the vandy website and search for Oasis info there is a list somewhere of the different commands and what each will do for you!

why is the system so Bohemian. can't they add a slightly more intuitive UI? I'm only using the webbased java version. Is the downloaded version any better?

the downloaded version is quicker but it is essentially the same interface. but if you plan on using oasis during high volume times such as during drop/add the first week of classes, you will want to download it because it will not let you load the web-based one when there is too much traffic.

no its the same. if you just type HELP it shows you the possible commands.
