Fall Transfer: Any 4.0's Not Heard Yet?

Hi Everyone:

I am a little baffled that I have not heard of an acceptance or a rejection from UT yet. Here are my stats:

1st Choice Major: Communications
2nd Choice Major: Liberal Arts

GPA: 4.0
ACC - 30 hours (11 in progress)

5 letters of recommendation
Resume
Required essays plus the optional essay
Sent application packet in 1 month early

Extra Curricular
Student Government (Executive Council)
Phi Theta Kappa (Officer)

Any advice for me? I got accepted into my other choices of schools 2 weeks after I applied and it seems that 4.0 GPA's and downwards have heard already. Does anyone know why this would be taking so long or how they are moving through the applications?

5 letters of recommendation? isn’t that too much?
well I’m also waiting for my decision but I’m an international transfer.

butterfly,

is the 11 hours part of the 30 hours, or are you already done with 30?

Communications is a pretty hard major to get into at UT.

Even still, if you already have 30 hours COMPLETED I don’t see why they are waiting on accepting you.

I have 30 hours completed and I am working on 11. Sorry guys I wasn’t very clear on that one!

It’s possible that not all your credits are transferable so you might only have 27 credits instead of 30 because of one non-transferable class. That would lead to the delay.
