<p>I have so I don't think I'm going to apply for any Freshman seminars at all - I don't want to have to compromise on any of my other courses.</p>

<p>i was assigned to fall too, i think this is what i want. since there are time frames in which ppl can change it, could they change the semester of my fall WS without notifying me?</p>
<p>No I don't think they would change you unexpectedly. The time frames for changes are for people who want to switch to a different semester, but I don't think it's a one-for-one swap. There's probably not THAT many people that want to switch to a specific semester so it's probably balanced even when a few people request a switch.</p>

<p>yeah, got a fall writing seminar (finally something worked out according to my wishes :D ).....so we dont have to write any essays here right, we just give our top choices after talking to our advisor right?? and hopefully we get one of out top three :)</p>
<p>you rank your top 8 writing seminar choices in an online form after you have chosen your other classes. they assign you one of your top 8. you are lucky if you get one of your top 3</p>

you are LUCKY??? well the email said that usually all the students get one of their top 3 choices.....but yeah, the princeton people love to BS us!!</p>
<p>i got my 5th choice. many of my friends got choices 4-8. whawts funny is that i some of the people in my 1st choice writing seminar put it down as their 5th or 6th choice. assignments are done by a computer after everyone has submitted their rankings</p>

<p>keep your writing seminar in mind when chosing other courses. try to keep a balanced schedule. so that you don't have all problem set classes (with midterm and final exams) or all writing classes (which would make deans date Suck.</p>
