Did anyone else who applied to Pratt Institute just receive the following phone call? It was an automated response telling me that Pratt accidentally sent ALL applicants a financial aid letter stating that they had been accepted. It went on to say that everyone received this, regardless of whether or not their application had been reviewed yet. I didn't receive this letter; I was wondering if anyone else received it, or if it just hasn't come yet. This call shook me up pretty bad; when they said "We are sorry..." I thought I was about to be rejected by automated voice! =(

This was a few weeks after they sent me a thin envelope... telling me about their new major. This is one of my top choice schools, but right now they're scaring the life out of me! Anyone else receive this phone call/letter, or have similar experiences with their applications?

they have also sent out an e-mail stating basically the same thing.

Too funny / sad. Because Pratt Institute's financial aid department has always been dysfunctional...

that's pretty bad...

I keep having a fear that some of the colleges will tell me the acceptance letter was a mistake. I know it's not going to happen, but I have thought about it.

I hope you have better luck with your next acceptance!

marsden, did/do you go to pratt? is it just the fin. aid department that has problems, or is it the school itself?

I'll PM you because I don't want to post personal and/or negative material here.. :)

I received the email and the letter too...

My cousin got this call. Her parents were so ticked off.

I did not receive a phone call, only this email (see below) from Pratt before the "acceptance" letter came in the mail, and then another mail saying that the acceptance letter was a mistake.
