False Accusation

Hi guys,

I was just wondering what the chances of the ETS accusing me of cheating. I didn’t cheat obviously. I got around 170 on my PSAT from sophomore year and I am expecting to get around 2000-2100 on the SAT I just took. I have never taken the actual SAT before, also I changed 2-3 answers per section. The reason for my increase from the PSAT to SAT is because I took prep classes and started from 1600s->2140. I am just mainly concerned about math as I am not sure if I marked 3-4 of my answers correctly in the booklet as I did on my answer document. This was my first attempt at the SAT. Thanks for all your help.

I question why one would be concerned about being accused of cheating if there was no cheating in the first place. Seems like a strange thing to worry about unless there is a real reason for it?

@momma34 I’m not concerned it’s just that I’ve been reading on the forums and I read that many innocent people have had their scores cancelled. I really don’t want to take the sat again if I break 2k :slight_smile:

I don’t think ETS cares about difference between PSAT and SAT. If your 1st and 2nd SAT sittings had a huge jump, that would catch their notice.

Alright cool thanks guys I really worked really hard over the summer and I hope it pays off!

@iLoveCSE I understand now. I agree with dyiu13 - doubt you have anything to worry about. Good luck with the hard work and great score!

I did read a story about ETS cancelling the scores of someone who jumped from 1420 PSAT to 2220 SAT, but your jump isn’t big enough to alert them of anything.

@hermit9 Yea it is pretty common to get 2000s but hopefully I got 800 on math. I think the story you’re referring to is a 1240 on PSAT to 2220.

@momma34 thanks for understanding!
