<p>I would say don’t bother-- they probably won’t find out anyway but would you really want to be caught doing that? Also, as long as they’re not amazing ECs they probably won’t strengthen your app.</p>

<p>They generally don’t check, unless they really suspect something wrong. If you feel uncomfortable doing it, then don’t. It probably wouldn’t strengthen your application much since you haven’t done anything to help/change the club in a significant way.</p>
