There doesn't seem to be a way to submit these forms via the common app. Is there a specific email address they could be forwarded to? Or perhaps emailed to the Admissions Counselor?

Thank you.

Thank you.

You are welcome to submit these documents to the counselor. An invitation to submit a Family Recommendation is sent to students via e-mail after the Common Application and Part 1 of the application have been completed. The writing sample may be sent in an attachment to an e-mail or via postal services.

She has SAT subject test scores coming in on Thursday and is waiting to submit her Common App until she has those scores available. We will watch for the recommendation link then.

what is a family recommendation? i received this so i just give it to my dad and he sends it in with his email?

The family recommendation is a formal way for relatives to offer their perspective regarding the candidacy of the applicant to which they are related, and it helps us to document the feedback that we often get throughout the admissions process. I have read very insightful letters from parents, grandparents, siblings, aunts, uncles, etc. Your father can send a letter of recommendation as an attachment in an e-mail or by printing out a hard-copy and mailing it via postal services. It should be noted that we do not require this letter - the majority of students decline to have a family member contribute a letter of recommendation, but they are at times helpful.

It’s fun to write. Pick a family member with real insight into the kid - and who can write. Who knows a person better than family?
