For current students (including Class of '10!) or parents reading this forum, you may want to know that registration for Family Weekend opened this morning. The dates are Oct. 13-15, and if you want to attend any of the free talks, performances, or receptions, or any of the luncheons or performances which charge a small fee, you'll need to register. (It's cheaper to register now than on-site in Oct., and often the tickets sell out beforehand for events like the Nobel Laureate Luncheon.) Various events are targeted at siblings, so it's OK to bring younger family members also.

There are special tours and demos and talks scheduled around campus which attenders may choose ONE to register for: they are very popular and always "sell out", so early registration is recommended for best choice.

I'll be going this year. Any parents want to get together for a CC Parent Conclave informally while we're there?

Last year I wrote "mootmom / leftcoast mom" on the bottom of my nametag, and several people were able to identify me on that basis (students and parents alike), standing in food lines and at other random times.

If there are enough of us who know ahead of time that we want to meet, we might plan a time and place to go stand around and look for each other. We still have a few more weeks to plan. ;)

(Hey! I know! Y'all can come help me deep-clean my son's hall kitchen in EC again! Heh heh.)
