Today was my last ACT. Overall, it went pretty well despite a semi-major incident yesterday. Either way, I'm glad it's over and I'll offer a few last minute tips.

Don't discuss the answers so soon, you're just going to freak yourself out. Wait for the score to come out, it's only 10 days.

When studying, understand why you got questions right and wrong (I had trouble with this before, but I tried it a few days ago and it helped me a lot on today's reading stuff)

Night before the test, do a passage or two, but don't go nuts. Especially with reading and scientific reas., the best way to do well is practice gradually so that you become intuitively good at these passages, and when you rest you will be very keen.

Eat a good breakfast, get some sleep, and DRINK GATORADE during the break (along with a light snack)...some dude was chugging 4 red bulls and afterwards he said that his mind died on him 15 minutes into reading...gatorade is a good median, don't chug red bull (I never thought I'd have to say that)

Grammar: use your ear and if none of the answers make sense, re-read the sentence.

Math: uhh read a book

Reading: Skim through the passage or read the entire passage first (or you can read a part of a passage and answer some questions)...for god's sakes READ. Can you answer questions about a book you never read? Oh yeah, and guess before you check...best advice I have ever received. Look at the question, look at the passage, take a guess and find the matching choice...almost always works

Scien: Conversely, don't read the passage first...I only say this because scien. reasoning is timing and logic and nothing more. The first 2 questions can almost always be answered by looking at a graph/chart. When you get to the 3rd or 4th questions, you have to start reading (exception is the two student experiments thing)

General advice: ACT does not try to trick you. Learn to relax, but be able to focus. Know the key to each section: english and math rewards people who are cautious...so be cautious...reading and science rewards people who think quickly..so think quickly and don't be afraid to go with your gut if you have to.

I'll still post once in a while on the ACT boardsand I'll definitely still be on the rest of collegeconf boards, but as my title suggests, farewell ACT, I hardly knew ye.
