I have applied for financial aid through FASFA and am starting my first semester at a California Community College this spring.Am I still eligible to receive financial aid for this semester given that I am applying for it much after the listed deadline
Yes.
You may still some Federal Financial Aid if you qualify, such as Pell Grants and Direct Loans. When did you file the FAFSA.

Thank you for the answer. I believe I will qualify. My reason for asking this is because I have asked some family to help me pay for the enrollment fees and books for the semester, and would like to pay them back using what financial aid I may receive. I appreciate your answer, thank you, once again.
Make sure the FAFSA you filed is for 2014-2015.

Just checking since I have seen current high school students ask about financial aid to take community college classes.
