Anyone know much about the fashion designing program at WUSTL? How would it rank amongst other schools like FIT and Parsons (is it a very strong program?)?

i'm going into the fashion design program at wustl! woot!
apparently it's very good as in teaching you the essentials of what you need to know. obviously it's not going to get you the connections that somewhere like FIT and Parsons in New York and FIDM and Otis in LA will, as it's in St. Louis which is not a fashion hotspot. but if you're interested in more than just making pretty clothes that cater to the tastes of the masses, and would also like to study other subjects, i think it's the place to be. that's why i'm going: i don't want to decide halfway through college that i don't want to be a designer and have wasted my time at a place that only prepares you for fashion design.
i've seen some washu student work and it seems pretty strong. i didn't actually get to visit the fashion design department when i visited the school (i was mesmerized by the millinery class i was sitting in on) but from what i heard from the fashion students (some of whom were in the millinery class), washu's fashion program is intense and demanding, but also rewarding and fun. it's definitely not something to enter into lightly.
