Hi. I'm planning on going to FSU soon, and I'm trying to pursue a career in
fashion. More specifically a personal shopper/fashion stylist. I don't want to go to a tech school or anything, I have my mind set on FSU. I know they have a retail merchandising major, but then I read something about a fashion design program? Do they still have that? If so where can I get the info? Thanks.

It took me 15 seconds with the search box on their website to find this:

“Program Suspended: This program has been suspended; no new students are being accepted.”

Now, I’m going to be blunt here. Consider it some tough love from an armchair fan of fashion who wants to see your passion for the field turn into legitimate success.

If you’re going to be a personal shopper/stylist, you’re going to have to work independently and work hard to make ends meet. Start cultivating that habit now. Pounding the keys to enter a search term yourself is great practice for the inevitable pavement-pounding the fashion industry requires. :)

bh, FSU merged the fashion program into its RMPD program. The RMPD degree would be a sound foundation for a career in fashion. Add a Business Minor from FSU Business College to the RMPD degree and you’ll be all set. Be sure to get active at FSU in the three RMPD affiliated clubs for marketing, textiles, and fashion. Check out both the curriculum sheet and the academic map important documents links for RMPD program in the below link. Good luck!
