<p>Wow! Thanks for the reply! What are the typical salaries offered?</p>
<p>I would guess that in NY you'd be making 40K to 50K fresh out of college. Now, I know you might think that's pretty small but try to keep in mind the fact that you'll only be working 8 hours a day and I'm sure either of these jobs will have some good perks -- so there's an obvious trade off. </p>
<p>But, if you stay with them or move around from one company to another in Fashion you can climb the ranks, higher up brand managers can probably expect to make 100k in New York with a pretty easy lifestyle (40-50 hour weeks)</p>
<p>Pattern maker. My sister did this for some top designers (Perry Ellis, Marc Jacobs, etc) and makes very good money--200K or so and travels to Italy and China to see fabrics.. She learned it after college at FIT in NYC.</p>
