Forgive me in advance for offending anyone, if I inadvertedly do so.

I'm just wondering why it seems that with people our age (late hs-college aged), it seems that fat people are at the bottom of the barrel. I was talking with one of my guy friends, and he said that the last person he would hook up with would be a "fat chick". I asked him what if the girl had a pretty face, and he proceeded to respond that "if she's fat, no deal".

So, what's the deal with this (directed at guys mainly, but girls go ahead and respond)?
If a girl had a cute face, and a good personality, but she was fat, would you completely be against dating her?

note: I am by no means fat, but I just found this interesting.

Because physical attraction is the first thing in any relationship and so you wouldnt want to be going out with someone that you arent attracted to?

some people like fat chicks, some like normal chicks, some like skinny chicks.

attraction is partially subjective and partically societal.

b/c, in most cases, it shows the person doesn't value themselves enough to take care of themselves...so why should someone else care about them if they don't even care about themselves? When I make this statement I am talking about people who choose, yes choose, not to exercise. I think having a little extra weight is okay, but when it becomes unhealthy or a detrement to that person's health, well that is just very unattractive. However, some people do have a legitimate reason (such as a certain medicine that increases appetite or asthma or other problems of the sort), so you should never make assumptions.
