It's applicable in the U.S. as well as, I'd say, other "developed" countries. Obviously, starving Africans aren't obese.

being fat=fail

How is there is any debate over the correlation between poverty and obesity? Richer people have more time to work out, can afford healthier foods, and can afford better medicinal treatments that may reduce obesity. Poorer people can't. Genes help, but this isn't entirely nature.

my biggest pet peave of all time is when people accept mediocrity or accept their shortcomings (the ones they can alter themselves). i'm never satisfied with myself no matter how much i accomplish and that pushes me to keep going and keep improving in every aspect of my life... and being the arrogant, egocentric maniac that i am i expect others to do the same.

if you want to improve yourself, start by learning how to spell correctly. it's "peeve" not "peave".

You're fat.

Darn. I expected you to somehow tie this thread in to white women.

Be a better troll.

The people like you who flame me for no reason are the ones making the troll posts.

I have to take gym class senior year instead of having a study hall because of the increase of fat people in America, ***!!!!!!!!

1 summer i ate nothing but lettuce and carrot sticks, ran 1mi everyday and then swam.... still plateaued at 150lbs. and i'm not tall >.<

fml

That sucks andrew78191 =/

How would you even say richer people have MORE free time? It depends, & most would be busy, unless it's an inheritance or they just run a really good business. The first generation of rich people (not the ones stated above/ similar) work hard to build up their fortune, saving every little thing.

^maybe so, but how do u say...'less wealthy' people spend more time stressing, more time struggling, less time worrying about silly privileges like keeping very fit...

I try to avoid fat people when at all possible. I think they're part of a secret cult

^ lol, the cult of people who find eating an addictive hobby

Sorry, I didn't see any correlation-- I never said/ ( I don't think I implied ) that " 'less wealthy' people spend more time stressing, more time struggling, less time worrying about silly privileges like keeping very fit..."

I was just trying to say that wealthier people wouldn't have that much time to worry about those "silly privileges like keeping very fit..."

I mean, if they're busy trying to build up the cash, where would they have the time to worry about fitness? This applies to other people / financial status as well, btw.

Hi, I'm 170 pounds and short.

I swim 10 hours a week and play badminton 8 hours a week.

You all suck. Thanks.

^ is it all muscle? i gotta say.. i really admire your athleticism and your perseverance to keep up with it

That's amazing!

Regardless of standards of beauty today, it is far more impressive to be an athlete and heavier than a weakling with no muscle!
