Well, International here, so I guess, I've messed up right from when I was born.
LOL... well, yes, there is that (me too).

On the other hand, I also had an amazing interview.

Well, International here, so I guess, I've messed up right from when I was born.
LOL... well, yes, there is that (me too).

On the other hand, I also had an amazing interview.

Shall we call ourselves the birth challenged? :)

Birth-challenged indeed. (Add me to that charming list.)

In addition: my interview was awful, my essays were rushed to the point of being terrible (er, Common App essay was good. Supplement essays were dreadful.), I barely wrote anything in the Summers box (didn't treat it as important at all, eep), and my GPA is on the low side in an objective measure (though not by my school's standards). Do I suck yet? ;)

Might as well add me there!
For me, the interview was the sticky point, very formal, interrogative, and not quite as good as my other interviews. Well, a few hours left.... :)

Yeah, the 'very formal and interrogative' thing was what upset me about mine as well.

But I suppose that's subjectivish, depends upon the interviewer, that sort of thing.

Wow, didn't know being international was THAT much of a pullback in the college admissions process... :( crapppp.

Oh, it is. (Alas.) Applying for aid doesn't hurt as much at Princeton, granted, as it is need-blind to everyone, but international admissions in general are insanely competitive and stupendously difficult.

Sucks to be us. (The ironic thing is that my citizenship didn't even give me an advantage in my home country, so I'm, well, unusually doomed. ;))

haha.. I'm on the charming list of the birth challenged too!

I thought being international only hindered you if you were applying for fin-aid.

No, we've pretty much got it in every way possible. :)

They accept a much lower percentage of internationals than Americans (unfortunately for you all...)

Am I the only one who used bullet points for the summer box?

ouch

Being an international is horrid. (What will be truly ironic is if all my need-blind schools reject me, and the non-need-blind schools accept me. Which I suspect will happen. o_O)

And no, whoamg, you aren't alone. I used bullet points as well (well, actually listed by year, but it comes down to the same thing). I doubt that alone's going to kill anyone, though. (Hopefully!)

I listed by bullet points too! :)

I used both: bullet points and years!

birth challenged as well! bwahaha

oh man, y'all complaining about your SATs are crazy. mine suck a lot worse :P but whatever, i'm not here to make myself feel crappy and depressed.

and the whole summers thing ****ed me off. i just sleep, eat and party :P ...not very productive.

^_^ I used years with my bullet points as well. /test/

Hey everybody, the RD thread is ready, but somebody needs to make sure it stays SEMI near the top or bump it right before 5 o'clock? Who wants the honors?

didn't know there was an actual form to send in supplementary materials, just sent off my cd with counselors recs and transcripts. sigh...
