Fatburger vs. In and Out

Which one is best and why?

Can we add Five Guys to the mix...

In N Out gets my vote. They have the best pure burger, with fresh ingredients and always coming hot off the grill. Being able to upgrade to the 5x5 or even 10x10 is also a big plus when you get as hungry as I do. Though the menu is pretty basic, being able to customize your burger a bit (animal style, grilled onions, etc) is huge.

I still like Fatburger though. One major downside is the price (I've often ran up a tab of more than $10 for just myself there, a fast food joint), but sometimes nothing hits the spot like a Kingburger with egg, cheese, and bacon (that spot in my arteries!). They also serve chilli cheese fries which is a big plus for me.

I'm just happy to live 5 minutes from both of them!

in n out gets my vote. it's just so classic and good. five guys... is ok. it's really messy and in my opinion not as classic or good as in nout

My top 3 fast foods are (in no particular order) In n Out, Sonic, and McDonalds, though the only one I get burgers at it In n Out. Sonic has the best ice cream stuff though, and really good fries.

InNOut for actual hamburgers, Fatburger for fat fries.

There are no Fat Burgers or In 'n outs 'round here.

I don't have either of those joints around here... I havn't even heard of them.

In n Out is my favorite :)

I haven't heard of Fatburger, but In N Out is great just because of how late it is open. Saved us in the summer when we didn't want to go to Dennys lol

Its a SO CAL thing

Its a Nor Cal thing. Anyways theres a burger joint called Fatburger? Thats one of the stupidest things ever. In N Out is the shiznit.

http://www.fatburger.com/home/

In.n.Out is like a Socal institution. Vegas and Arizona are lucky it spread there!

Five Guys!

Most people I know swear by In & Out and Carl's, Jr. Maybe that's because FatBurger doesn't have drive-throughs.

Well, you should know ;)

+1 for In-N-Out.... best burgers anywhere

never heard of either before.

Fatburger is ****ing horrible. Expensive as hell ($7 vs a $2.50[?] Double-Double) and it's not good at all. I first tried one at UV (near UCR) and hated it. Maybe that was just a fluke. Had another one in Vegas - no fluke, Fatburger sucks.

EDIT: Forgot to say great things about In-N-Out.

It's the best. Drive-thru takes about 45 minutes around lunchtime, but always worth it.

I love In-N-Out. The burgers - animal style, I think I got - are the best, and everything's fresh and really clean. Good work!

I only wish they would expand out of the west coast, I haven't been there in 5 years.
