Sad. My Berkeley sophomore went to the Rockies over winter break with the Cal ski club. On their return trip, they had a mandatory bus driver break in Utah. As she and her friends (white kids all) were milling about on a sidewalk in their Berkeley gear, a truck driver approached and asked if they were from Berkeley. After they affirmed the fact, he told them that they better watch themselves because they were in Trump country. She doesn’t know if it was a threat or a warning, but either way it disturbed her.
