<p>Yes, I was a Biology major and it was great. No issues. </p>
<p>FWIW, most of the research is marine biology/ecology. For instance, I know they do research on sea turtles, sharks and ocean acidification.</p>
<p>They don’t have a botany major, however, and there aren’t classes offered in really specific sections like icthyology or ornithology. So if that’s your reason for going (and I doubt it is) then and only then you might think otherwise.</p>
<p>If you’re going there for biology as pre-health professions, it’s great for that too.</p>
