tagran86:
I was just wondering why did you rank comp. gov. and u.s. gov. so low? was your class or the material?

Ally-Tangran might have different reasons than me, but I dislike AP US Gov because it's incredibly tedious. The overall concepts are very much common sense (assuming you know how the government works), but there's a lot of stupid vocab and stuff that's a pain to memorize.

I'll rank mine from the classes I've taken
1) AP Chemistry (AWESOME CLASS, so interesting)
2) AP Calc (Great class, also pretty interesting. Not too much work at all (AB).)
3) AP Stat (easy as ****)
4) AP Biology (Soooo much work, 3 hours a night, SOME, not all, of it is interesting
5) AP Government (Good class and learned a lot, but not where my interests lie)

ap psych is a blast if you have a really good teacher

AP Econ > AP Bio & AP Psych & AP Spanish > APUSH & AP Physics B > AP Calc AB (dropped in 2 weeks for a lucrative seat in the statistics class next door)

justforgetme: yeah, we wanted to carry on that tradition but it never happened. practically no one in my class, including myself, drank then, so yeah. and i don't think an ap gov drinking party would be as fun.

I've loved my AP English courses--AP Language completely changed my approach to reading and writing, and I have an insane realtionshp with my AP Literature teacher. But my AP U.S. History class and teacher probably made the biggest impact on my outlook on life and society. He mixed history with philosophy and really got us thinking. Amazing class.

AP Psych was all right; my teacher was in her first year of teaching, period, so it was really frustrating at times. I hated AP Chemistry. I'm enjoying AP Computer Science right now (probably as much as I did AP Euro as a sophomore, but maybe a little less--damn being one of three girls in a class of over 30), but rank AP Government above it--I'm learning a lot, and it really is applied knowledge.

last year it was ap chem by far. this year its ap calculus.

but ap chem beats ap calc...

AP Physics is so freakin cool :)
I struggled at first, cuz I wasn't use to the new concepts, but after catching on, it is so fun to understand how things work... and like someone else said earlier... It feels VERY rewarding after you solve some ridiculous problem that you glanced at and said I CAN'T DO THIS. You spend a couple minutes, maybe do easy ones and come back and start doing some weird way of solving it and voila, you get the answer and it is CORRECT!!! hahaha

I would say the top 3 most fun are AP Art History, AP Studio Art, and AP Human Geography. All are challenging but easy to understnad and enjoy!

AP English
AP Chem
AP Physics
AP Calculus

next semester I get to take AP Euro with a fantastic teacher, so the list may change

I'm taking/have taken:

APUSH
Euro
AB Calc.

My favorite is Calc by far. But between APUSH and Euro, I would say I'm enjoying Euro more.

APUS. My teacher and class were just awesome. I liked the material more than the AP Euro material too. U-S-A!

Ap stat just due to sheer easiness..dont get me wrong, its hard..but compared to other AP's its SIMPLE...ap economics is interesting but hard...ap physics is extremely challenging so im drawn to it due to the challenge.....AP pysch isnt that hard but kinda boring to me

AP English Lang- awesome teacher and much fun
AP World and APUSH- really relaxed, primarily discussions and not much work
AP Cal AB - awesome teacher really cool class b/c we can correct the teacher and not be hated
AP English LIt- Absolutely hate because it's so freaking banal and we don't learn anything it's so stupid

I like APUSH because I feel soo much more comfortable reading through the textbook and having discussions with my peers over documents and stuff like that. I am sure my reading and writing skills have improved greatly. Also, I don't feel like I'm wasting my time because we don't get busy work; everything is there for a purpose.

AP American Gov on account of I have one of the best teachers in the world. He is a retired lawyer who manages to make even the most boring topic fun to learn. Also, AP Spanish is a really enjoyable class. AP US History and AP Lang/Comp are pretty good but the first two are my favs.

...um...eng and bio are tied :) i have a gr8 teacher for the eng, and i just love bio in general...

AP CALC BC: mostly because the teachers likes me, and that i can do the homework in like five minutes.
AP USH: I might get an A this quarter, but it depends. However, I just love listening or reading stuff about history. ALso our teacher is pretty cool. :)
AP CHEM: CHEMISTRY is my favorite science subject, but currently I'm not liking it. It was an easy A, but things kind of changed and now I have to study. :(

I really loved my AP chem class last year and this year I'm loving AP Lit, I really liked BC calc as well. The classes were fun mostly because of teachers and people not because of the material we covered. I absolutely love chem, so that's definately my favorite, but I really like lit this year and considering my only other AP is bio which I'm not enjoying at all AP Lit makes it bearable. For the first time I really love my English teacher and am enjoying the material.
