Favorite Books

What are the best books you’ve ever read?

This is just off the top of my head so I’m probably missing some things, but:

Fiction: Lord of the Rings, Percy Jackson series, Ender’s Game, some Star Wars novels, Skybreaker, The Ellimist Chronicles
Non-fiction: The Happiness Advantage, Getting Things Done, Sapiens, The Charisma Myth, How to Win Friends and Influence People, Elements of Style, Emotions Revealed

Percy Jackson series, Harry Potter series, The Great Gatsby, Frankenstein, To Kill a Mockingbird, Everyday by David Levithan, and any book by Mitch Albom. Those are just some of the few that I can think of.

Elon Musk: Inventing the Future
by Ashlee Vance

Revolution - Jennifer Donnelly
The Green Mile - Stephen King
We Need to Talk About Kevin - Lionel Shriver
The Time Traveler’s Wife - Audrey Niffenegger

Favorite by far:
Tess of the D’Urbervilles by Thomas Hardy

Other really good books (in my opinion):
The Hobbit by JRR Tolkien
Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte
The Giver by Lois Lowry (YA)
Great Expectations by Charles Dickens

Also (haven’t read these in 8-12 years):
Island of the Blue Dolphins by Scott O’Dell (children’s)
Anahita’s Woven Riddle by Meghan Sayres (YA)

Bumping this because books are amazing.

One to check out if you like Vonnegut: Wolf in White Van - John Darnielle

I’m a big Brandon Sanderson fan. His Stormlight Archive has been excellent so far.

Anything by Gayle Forman, My Sisters Keeper, Soul Screamers novels, anything by Sara Dessin, Thirteen Reasons Why, Gemma Doyle novels, and If I stay
