Favorite Class Ever

What was your very favorite class of high school? It can be for academic, social, or any other reason.

Mine was AP Physics C last year. First of all, I beasted it academically. I was top in the class and basically acted like a TA to the other students a grade above me. Also, it was very social. Everybody else was this big group of friends, and I became friends with them. Every day, we'd just fool around for 90 minutes, but still learn the material. Best. Class. Ever.

Junior Year English Honors. :)

Everyone had been in the same class since 9th grade so we all knew each other really well...the teacher was INCREDIBLE, and it was just an all-around awesome class. I'm a T/A for the same teacher this year and she's writing me a rec. for a scholarship. ^_^

I don't know about "ever", but both my Math and English classes this year are fabulous. The teachers are brilliant and hilarious for both of them, and we learn and get stuff done in the most crazy and fun ways possible.

Also, my English class is full of writers and theatre kids, so creative writing and Shakespeare units are wonderful beyond belief.

PE, is there any explanation needed?

AP Biology!!!! It was the best class I have ever taken, primarily because I had a really awesome teacher who didn't teach by the book but instead gave really intriguing lectures and hands-on activities. Some examples of what I did in class:

Created a movie called Photosynthesis: the Wizard of Oz version (lol)
-had Coffeeshops, where our teacher would prepare us coffee, tea, or hot chocolate while we discussed interesting scientific papers and articles

drew pictures and created analogies to help understand difficult concepts

reenacted DNA replication using "kits" and having people act like the actual enzymes in the replication (I mean, what's a better way to learn DNA replication than actually partaking in it? lol)

The only downside was that we only went over 80% of the material that was going to be on the AP exam, but other than that it was a really interesting experience, and I got a 4 on the exam anyways! :D :D :D

Many of my classes have been quite enjoyable, mostly science classes. Biology was crazy because our teacher was insane (literally, she was fired afterwards) and we all had fun messing with her. My CHemistry teacher had way too much fun with Mole Day and the fun side of things. Since I'm good at math, which is Chemistry pretty much, I was able to make a bed for myself and sleep in class with the teacher's blessing. Now I'm in AP Physics B and our teacher is from Ukraine. His bad translations and misunderstandings of western culture make that class an epic win.

Tie for this years math class and this years ap chem class. Math is amazingly fun based on the social side of things, we're allowed to do basically whatever we want, so my friends and I just talk and have a great time. Chem for the academics, I have such a great teacher, and we learn things really well.

Best is probably AP Physics C this year. I'm not amazing at it or anything, but everyone is really laid back and I feel like I'm learning a lot. We basically sit together and talk/do problems all period.

Ah! I have too many.

Pre-Calc last year was AMAZING. Our teacher was probably the most loved math teacher in the entire school, and for good reason. He was one of those teachers that could come up with tons of ways to explain one thing so that everyone understood, and he was always after school for more help or anything you really needed. And you could just talk with him, he was wicked cool. Luckily enough I have him for AP Calc this year! And he's just as amazing, and the kids in the class are almost the same, and we've bonded like heck. We all get together and have study parties and everything, everyone loves it. Plus, math is my favorite subject. Our teacher just makes you WANT to learn more, I think that's important. My Latin class is amazing too. We only have 14 kids, and 11 of us have been in Latin together for three years, and we have so much fun together. We just like, hang out all the time and everybody looks forward to that class. Our teacher is probably the smartest woman I have every met (besides my mother), she literally knows EVERYTHING. We're trying to get her to go on Jeopardy. But she is really probably the best teacher I have ever had. And she's retiring this year! So we don't get her next year ) :

apush

best teacher ever, combined with the best people ever = best class ever.

AP Econ = <3

you know how if you're lucky, you;ll get one class each year that you look forward to everyday and you have so much fun in? i have three of those classes; it makes me happy

rhetoric is full of people who would never associate outside of class, but we have seriously become a family we're all so close now. all we do is debate and argue

latin is full of nerds who love latin but everyone is so extremely chill and awesome, and our teacher is a crazy hippie (though he vehemently denies it) who has lived a crazy life and treats us all like adults

my physics teacher is only 4 years older than me, so my friends and i all make fun of him and treat him like he is, well, 4 years older

i love school SO much now lol

AP Calculus AB
i miss my teacher. he was so awesome ;_;
played good oldies songs while we worked on problems and worksheets
and he was so entertaining and amusing

Either IB Math (first year) or AP Government

I like orchestra. I love music, and just being in the class always brightens my day.

I love calc II. it's not at my school, but i love my teacher!!!! she is so freaking amazing and so nice!!!

Well this is my first year of highschool, but my favorite is Biology for sure. My friends are in there, I like the subject, and I get good grades in there (just got a 99 on my final =D)

I love Wind Ensemble. Done it for three years, and always a class where I can relax, laugh, and enjoy myself. But lately, I've taken an interest to physics. Neat subject and I find myself motivated in that class.

Orchestra. I've had plenty of good classes (every single one last year, most of them this year), though.

Call me crazy, but I LOVE APUSH.

And International Business and Politics is awesome, too.
And Economics
And Creative Writing
And Chemistry
And Pre-Calculus (mostly because my teacher was a crazy Cuban lady I couln't understand)

but definitely not
Drivers Ed

I failed my written drivers' test :)
