just for fun...what is your favorite cornell sport to watch or folllow and why?

ice hockey

i've played ice hockey for years so I'd follow it anyways. Cornell is great because imagine the craziest college basketball fans you've seen on TV, then throw all of the intense ones into a small hockey rink and you'll have Cornell hockey.

Though my favourite sport's Cricket, but, Ice Hockey pretty much rules the campus.

A few interesting articles I came across wrt Cornell Ice Hockey:
http://cornellsun.com/node/4707
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cornell-Harvard_Hockey_Rivalry

haha that cornell-harvard rivalry wiki article is hilarious

do people seriously throw fish?!?

they seriously do.

somebody therew 2 large squids on the ice this past year. They were slimey and gross.

lol I read some articles about it and I found this in one random one

"Cornell Athletics is urging fans to turn their fish-throwing energies to toys instead. They'll be collecting for a "Cops, Kids, and Toys" program at Saturday's game. They stress that anyone caught bringing fish into Lynah Rink or throwing fish onto the ice will be ejected."

Is the ejected thing true? Throwing fish would be awesome haha

it still happens

ice hockey games are incredible. we also had a good basketball season last year. any sport where your friends are playing is fun to watch though. So if you're friends with any varsity athletes, go to their games, because the level they play at is unreal.
