<p>British: shepherd's pie (meat in pastry)</p>

<p>Chinese: dim sum</p>

<p>Ethiopian: gomen on injera (steamed vegetables on elastic loaf)</p>

<p>Greek: moussaka (beef/eggplant casserole)</p>

<p>Italian: eggplant parmigiana</p>

<p>Japanese: miso (rice paste) soup </p>

<p>Mexican: barbacoa (shredded beef) in a taco with coriander and sauce</p>

<p>Scandinavian: frikadeller (meatballs) with gravy and lingomberry sauce </p>

<p>Thai: k(h)ao-soi (curry noodle soup)</p>

<p>Vietnamese: any pho/banh mi (soup/sandwich, respectively)</p>

<p>I want to try Peruvian ceviches next...</p>
