those two have been my weapons of choice lately, the lack of real sugar gets rid of the fall that accompanies a sugar rush, also the taste is slightly worse which is good for waking you up. I like to start with the double shot though because I think coffee has more immediate effects.

Really to me, energy drinks are quite a rip off. It might be because I require a lot more than the avg person. I have friends that just need 1 red bull to keep them awake all night, for me it's been a 4 pack (timed so I drank 1 every 4 hrs) of red bull (8 dollars) and even then after 5 am or so my effectiveness really drops.

Black Coffee is another powerful tool but one all nighter I suffered from excess caffeine and ended up being afflicted by sharp abdominal pains (I had drank around 5 cups of black coffee)

Additionally other methods-

Red Bull / Monster + Arizona Iced Tea: The arizona has a nice smoothing effect in my eyes, so you're not super edgy.

Jamba Juice Acai Supercharger + Energy boost has been working very well for me also, this option is around 4 dollars I think.

I had that yesterday. I didn't realize it at the time.

Red Bull, 180, Pimp Juice, etc all these energy drinks are a complete ripoff and taste horrible IMHO. If I need a boost, I drink a Dew and thats about it. I usually get plenty of sleep, so tiredness is rarely an issue.

I never knew black coffee could be so painful. I had three cups and it kept me awake definitely and I didn't even mind the taste but the next day my JAW ached. Atleast I aced all of my tests.

Definitely going to try the Starbucks double shot, though.

I actually love the taste of Red Bull... but I HATE the sugar free one for some reason. Will try the Iced tea.

Tonight I'm going with the Jones energy drink (which tastes like crap but I bought a four pack) plus Diet coke. I'm scared of becoming immune to caffiene... that'd be terrible.

I LOVE Double Shots, even though coffee no longer gives me energy. I used to eat those Chocolate Covered Espresso Beans nonstop until I read the fat content (eek!) and fell asleep five minutes after eating an entire box (I don't know why caffeine has suddenly become effectless, and it's kind of scaring me)

i usually drink one once or twice a week when i am feeling very tired but i still have to study. for example when i come home from surfing for 3 hours. i'll buy a red bull, monster xxl, or one more i cant think of but i have it most of the time. do u know if rockstar energy drinks or crunk http://www.crunkenergydrink.com/html2/home.htm drinks work. i should try them one of these days but they are so expensive!!!!!

Yeah, it kind of scares me too that it's beginning to take so much caffeine to keep me up. I joke with my friend that soon we'll have to move on to adderall or something.

i drink starbucks coffees in the middays when i need good concentration. And i drink a combination of many energy drinks at night. Coffee can't keep me up at night.
I love energy dirnks. My concentration is pure 100%. I get all hyper and I sing while I study and my legs go wild underneath my desk.
I drank 1 can, right before school's formal assembly. and I couldn't stop laughing when it was dead silent. and I kept on tapping this chair in front of mine with my legs (the person got real angry) and i was squeezing people's theighs.. (try it, it really tickles and hurts). THis was all done sneakily of course.

yeah energy drinks have a big effect on me.
