There is no better person for the part of Dumbledore then Richard Harris!
The "new" Dumbledore just seems mean, especially in GOF when Harry's name comes out of the Goblet. Dumbledore would have never been that agressive.

Deathly Hallows - it was dark and the end was edge-of-the-seat stuff...love those kinda books nowadays. A close second is Chamber of Secrets, followed by Prisoner of Azkaban

I'd definitely have to say that the prequel to the first book detailing his formation from the primordial soup is the best. It was a startling revelation to learn that his maternal grandfather was a ribozyme. The book was revolutionary in drawing attention to the developmental biology of monerans, protists, and other spineless creatures/invertebrates.

Feel free to interpret this as my commentary on the series.

Deathly Hallows. I love how J.K. Rowling made you pay so much attention to the little details. Like opening the Snitch, for instance. It went all the way back to the first book.
