Favorite Movies of all Time

^Defodefodefo watch Science of Sleep. I’ve actually never seen Eternal Sunshine, so I can’t comment on how they compare. I usually hear Science of Sleep is riskier, more provocative, and less successful, which sounds about right. But it’s a good film in and of itself. It’s sweet and a bit hard. I finally listened to the commentary this weekend, and knowing that stuff makes it even more amazing. But some of the commentary was in French and I did not get all of that.

Kiss Me Deadly is a 1955 exploitation movie. It’s very different and sort of film noirish. It’s a very “cool” movie to watch.

I watched it for my Film 372 class a couple of weeks ago.

The Science of Sleep is a bit riskier. But I think Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind is more provocative and memorable, since it’s the more serious film.

“A good amount of the films you said, that I did NOT mention. Probably the more obscure(ISH) and foreign films.
And wow, I don’t know directors as well as you! I sort of know some.”

who, me?

“Antichrist looked like torture-porn/gore/Saw-like…so I have ZERO desire to see it.”

it’s nothing like saw. i mean, it has a little bit of torture, but all in the good name of psychological instability ;)

i love reading about films on imdb before i see them. that’s what intrigued my interest there :]

I think she was referring to me, since I mentioned a few foreign films in my list.

My all-time favorite film is Inglourious Basterds. I’m a big fan of Quentin Tarantino.

I also liked Ferris Bueller’ Day Off, Slumdog Milionaire, Little Miss Sunshine, Good Will Hunting, Knocked Up and more.

Made me have a weird opinion of Pulp Fiction at the time, but I loled at that scene when I saw it.

Oh, me too!

Borat…

Definitely The Room. It is unbelievable. The love, the drama, the breast cancer!

The only two that I can think of off the top of my head are Gattaca and Slumdog Millionaire. This may be though b/c I don’t watch very many movies.

I am a big fan of Johnny Depp, so naturally many of his movies are my favorites (Edward Scissorhands, Blow, Pirates of Caribbean, Public Enemies, Sweeney Todd). Forrest Gump is a classic, who could not like that movie? Some of my other favorites are:
Into the Wild, Slumdog Millionaire, Radio, Dead Poets Society, The Island - its hard to think of movies.

Personally, I think that Remember the Titans is a good movie but extremely overrated, as are the Twilight movies. They don’t compare to the depths of the books.
