^ Props for the Klee, though I don’t really like anything from dada on, there’s just not much meaning to it.

Agree, anything including the word “starry” by Van Gogh (MoMA had a “Van gogh nightlife special exhibit” earlier this year, it was heavenly). They resonate so powerfully with me for some reason. I also love anything by Vermeer.

Also love Lee Krasner - in my eyes she pwns her husband. A particular favorite of mine is Gaea ([MoMA | The Collection | Lee Krasner. Gaea. 1966](<a href=“http://www.moma.org/collection/object.php?object_id=79162]MoMA ”>http://www.moma.org/collection/object.php?object_id=79162 )) Veniamviam, I love all the Judith paintings, too. When I first saw Caravaggio’s, I could not take my eyes off it.

Being a regular history geek as well, I love any paintings on the Tudors. But my favorite is probably this incredibly inaccurate but emotional painting of Lady Jane Grey’s execution: <a href=“Heilige, Namenstage, Patrone - Ökumenisches Heiligenlexikon ”>Heilige, Namenstage, Patrone - Ökumenisches Heiligenlexikon ; The actual painting is enormous and pretty moving.
