Favorite Recording

Hi,

I am just puzzled by the word 'recording.' Does it refer to a particular song, dvd, or e book?

To me, “recording” refers to an audio recording - a song or album. Certainly not an e-book, in my opinion.

If you’ve really got your knickers in a knot about it you should send an e-mail to Princeton asking for help, though.

I put a song for my ‘favorite recording’ when I did my application last year.

I would think that they are referring to music, however if your favorite recording is of lets say a live broadcast from a speech like FDR’s famous speech, I think that could make for a very interesting twist on the answer. It would be viewed as kind of quirky.

I take it as meaning anything you like to listen to. A song, album, spoken word, audio book, podcast even. If its primary connection to you is via aural means.

Mine was an album but I think most people say a song.
