Favorite Required Reading Novels

Out of everything you have read in high school, what has been the best so far? For me, it would have to be To Kill a Mockingbird.

1984, The Catcher in the Rye, and Anthem

Catcher is great. Haven't read 1984 yet, but I loved Brave New World (not required). We just got an independent reading list, and I signed up for The Good Earth.

Beowulf (AP Brit Lit)

"The Outsider". Albert Camus.

I am seriously in love with Camus and that book. Best thing I have ever read.

1984, Night

1984, Night, To Kill a Mockingbird <--favorite

Here is what I read of To Kill a Mockingbird when it was assigned:

To Kill a Mockingbird

Catcher in the Rye, Brave New World (really really really liked this one!!), To Kill a Mockingbird, Great Gatsby....

Great Gatsby, ANIMAL FARM!!!, cant say there were any others lol

Pride and Prejudice!

:D

The Great Gatsby, Waiting for Godot, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead, Julius Caesar

I don't know how I would choose. So I'll say this.
I'm very proud to have read been forced to read and eventually enjoyed the following:
-100 years of solitude
-Good earth
-Things fall apart
-Wuthering Heights
-A Room of One's Own
-Beowulf
-Canterbury Tales
- Sir Gawain and The Green Night
-Mrs. Dalloway

However, I think my favorite books were either Rebecca, Pride and Prejudice or Mrs. Dalloway. Mrs. Dalloway was my favorite paper to write

1984, Brave New World, Silas Marner.

btw..to the OP, great idea for a post

To Kill a Mockingbird, Great Expectations, The Importance of Being Earnest

The Canterbury Tales

we're reading The canterbury tales now. reading them is kind of boring, but the movie is great. the cartoon one, thats hysterical especially the old lady in the wife of bath tale and the chickens are pretty funny too.

Great Expectations, Julius Caesar, Masque of the Red Death, To Kill a Mockingbird, Our Town, Wuthering Heights, Pride and Prejudice, The Importance of Being Earnest (hilarious!)...

Gonna read Crime & Punishment soon, so we'll see if it makes it to the list...

Spring Break in 14 days, 13 if you count that first Friday.

Right now there's nobody home but me and the dog, and there's nothing to eat.
