We'll be visiting Stanford next week. What are your favorite casual, reasonably priced restaurants nearby (Palo Alto, Mountain View, etc.)? We especially like Mexican restaurants.

Thanks!

Thanks!

There is a goog and inexpensive Singapore restaurant in Palo Alto, but I don't remember its name.

palo alto is full of delicious food. i HIGHLY recommend pizza-a-gogo in downtown palo alto. you're pretty much required to go there. admire the surfing decor, get a t-shirt, and enjoy the pizza!

Hobee's for breakfast is great! I have never eaten lunch or dinner there, but I would think they would be good too!

hobees is excellent, but the prices are a little high

They are higher than a fast food drive-through, but not "high" at all in the scheme of restaurants in general.

Compadres is a casual Mexican restaurant with very nice decor near Stanford. Their specialty meat is carnitas and it's fantastic.

Breakfast: Hobee's (PA, across street from campus), Stacks (Menlo Park)

Chinese: Jing Jing (downtown PA) has the best spicy Chinese food. Their best dishes are all on the "Jing Jing Specialties" page near the front of the menu.

Thai: Krungthai (MV), Amarin Thai (MV), Bangkok Cuisine (downtown PA)

Korean: Hahn's Hibachi (downtown PA)

For American food, Cheesecake Factory (downtown PA) is worth a try if you don't live near one.

I can suggest some other restaurants if you tell me what cuisines you like.
