That’s another one of my mantras, “Not my circus, not my monkeys”. Sometimes you have to repeat that for awhile!
Also: Is this the hill you want to die on? And, I can choose to take offense, or I can choose not to. I choose not.

I thought of a couple last night…
The yin the yang and the yuck of it all
In 10 years no one will care
The other side of risk is regret
Measure seven times before making a cut
The one who doesn’t assume risk doesn’t get to drink the champagne (kinda opposite of the one above and sadly did not work for OceanGate)
Work is not a wolf, it is not going to run into the woods
The house is for the woman and the cat, the yard is for the man and the dog
Have to think of some other ones my grandpa used to say.

There’s nothing new under the sun.
This is a new favorite:
Who are you trying to help?
“Most people are about as happy as they make up their minds to be.” - supposedly said by Abraham Lincoln
This may have been posted already, but three questions to think about before you open your mouth when you’re not sure you should -
Does it need to be said?
Does it need to be said now?
Does it need to be said by me?
Not my circus, not my monkeys.
If you don’t stand for something you’ll fall for anything.
A good one (by my grandfather) which I was reminded of today.
“A Scrooge always ends up paying twice for the same thing.”
Meaning if one cheapens out, the fix will cost a huge amount of $$.
@busdriver11’s post in the Say It… thread reminded me of this saying, “Good deeds will never go unpunished.”
Yep, that came to mind, too. I also not only did not win the lottery, I didn’t even win a single dollar in the lottery. So much for karma!
Oh that dagnabbit karma…
Karma is a beach
