Favourite Math Theorem.

^It is [noparse]

Not

I’m impressed by the Cayley-Hamilton Theorem.

First, outer, inner, last – the FOIL system is a blast! Yaaayyyyy, FOIL!

Lol I thought it went like “first, outers, inners, lasts, you can multiply binomials fast” or some rhyming thing like that.

FOIL is just a method of the distribution property. That is, (a+b)(c-d) = a(c-d) + b(c-d). I don’t see what’s so “cool” about it.

It’s not exactly a “theorem”, but hmm
“I want to be your derivative because I want to lay tangent to your curve”
^ man derivative is just amazing :P

no -.-

You multiply out binomials by using the binomial theorem…

Nothing beats the Infinite Monkey Theorem.

^The Shakespeare one? It’s funny and true, but is that really mathematical?

Because you can make a cutesy cheer about it. Duh.

lamestuff only works for right triangles ~~~~

Sidenote, Annyone ever check out Euclid’s proof for SAS, it is trippy as fawk.

Alright, let’s end this with the best theorem there is…

Rational Roots! (Not really, I hate this thing with a passion)

Fundamental Theorem of Calculus or Fundamental Theorem of Algebra really.

I forgot the rational roots theorem a long time ago. I wish I knew it now though.

According to my teacher, it’s the last resort SOL theorem. Take your constant term of a polynomial, and the leading coefficient of the polynomial, and Just list all the positive and negative factors of both. It’s absolutely redundant.

Yeah, but I’ve somehow forgotten how to factor polynomials that are greater than degree 2. For quadratics, I usually end up using the quadratic formula a lot of the time anyway.

Man, that sucks. If it’s fourth degree that’s quadratic in form, I just use quadratic formula, then solve. Anything else, I sit there and think… yeah I hate this.

Chicken McNugget Theorem anyone?

^lollll. I just learned what that was today.

Oh and I just remembered the rest of the song:

first, outers, inners, lasts, you can multiply binomials fast
if you’re ever in toil, just use foil.

Something like that. Yea it’s cool.

Then there’s this other one.

It was afraid to come out in the open, it was as afraid as a decimal point could be.

I don’t recall the rest(But it’s sung to Itsy Bitsy Teenie Weenie Yellow Polka-dot Bikini song) :]

Not really a theorem, but an identity.

e^(i*pi) + 1 = 0

Euler’s Identity
