A recent school I've applied to has contacted me about recieving a fax number from me so they can "happily respond" on March 10. Is this highly unusual? I remember applying to b.s last year and never had anyone ask for a fax number? What could this meannn?

I think it is a good sign, but not a guarantee. Don't you think it would be illogical for a school to get a fax # for all applicants? It seems more likely that they are asking for fax #s for accepted students.

If you don't mind me asking, what school was it?

I think it is an excellent sign. My son's school told us to "plan a little celebration party" for 12:01am on March 10th....they told us e-mail notifications would be up then.

keylyme, what school is your son applying to again?

He's already there...NMH. He applied last year.

wow, well if mine did that, id be thrilled, but dont get too excited, cause you might jinx it!
anyway, what school is this?
it could be cuz its a small student body, or cuz they want you to be happy about acceptance right away!
if you havent told your son btw, i wouldnt cuz itll make him more anxious

wow, keylyme... must have been exciting!

Yes and no. I still did not dare to believe it until I actually saw it. And, we couldn't open it at midnight because my son was away at a soccer tourny. The reason they let us know like that (I think) is because I called to ask when they mailed the acceptance (like everyone else, we were quite anxious and wondering if it is mailed on the 10th or received on the 10th). When I told her my son was away and wouldn't be home until the 12th or 13th, that is when she asked his name, came back to the phone and suggested we go online and open the e-mail together at midnight and have a little celebration.

awww! i hope i have a happy story like that to share in two weeks!
