FBLA vs DECA

So here’s the thing. I’m involved in my school’s DECA chapter and I’m doing it next year (even though I’m not 100% sure I want to do it next year - I’m mostly doing it bc I told a friend I would, and bc I like role playing), but I don’t want to do it in my junior and senior years. Recently I found out about FBLA, and my school doesn’t have a chapter. I’m thinking about starting one at the same time as doing DECA next year. I’m also thinking about starting a biochemistry club at my school, even though I’m leaning more towards FBLA because it’ll get a bigger turnout.

I’m not interested in a career in business, and I’m involved in at least 5 other EC’s (I always forget some when I try to count), but I enjoyed DECA. My school’s DECA chapter is HUGE and I’m not sure how I could justify starting an FBLA chapter besides the fact that they have more event options. Can anyone tell me the pros/cons of FBLA, and whether or not I should do it? I really want to start a club at some point in my high school career, just to leave something behind, but I’m not sure if sophomore year is too early. Thanks!
