i dont think so, i have friends with last name S, W, and many more so i don't think its by last name.. maybe by birth since my birthdays pretty late. we'll see, best thing to do is just wait it out

Well my birthday's in APril

yeah mines in may. my friends bday was in march, april, and even one in june

Oh yeah, i wasjust looking through your threads and i also applied for polisci/intl affairs at riverside.

So if we didn't get the email, should we assumed that we didn't get in? What is your gpa and sats stripes? Mine is 3.0 1900.

no don't assume yet, if you didn't get in, they would tell you too.

my sister hasn't gotten hers yet and she's a transfer, she was guaranteed admission. god, i hope we don't go to the same school.

well seeing that they have like 30,000 ish applications, I guess it does take a while to send emails to all the applicants. Ahh, but it drives me crazy knowing that I need to wait! Believe it or not, I check my email and myUCR almost every hour!

I hope I'm not so paranoid as I am now come March...

hahaha no don't assume at all. i haven't recieved my email yet, but i'm pretty confident of getting in. All my friends have gotten in, and some have way lower stats and Ec's than me. They are swarmed with 30,000 ish app's so they can't get too everyones on feb1. As they stated, they said that Feb 1 is just the STARTING date, and admissions will continue to roll throughout the weeks until march.

Oh Glue, my stats are sort of similar. 3.3uw, 1950 sat, excellent essay, excellent ec's. Also, i started my own company junior year and it helped worked toward many goals i have in the future. Also, i don't think you should worry, just wait it out and see waht happens. Of my friends, they all had similar gpa/sat if not better/worse. One of my friends who got in had a 3.0w gpa, 1500 sat and he got into the psychology program feb 1. Oh, also i come from the #1 public high school in california (so competitive -_-)

stripes what major did you apply to?

I believe it was Poli Sci or International Affairs or something.

yeah, i applied for polisci/intl affairs.

I got in the next day (Feb 1st mid-day). Last name starts with M. Major - Economics.

yeah, as i said, just gotta wait it out. definetly don't give up because you havent recieved it the first day. UCR said admissions START on feb 1, and continue rolling till end of march. i know plenty of people who last year got it in mid feb or so. it just depends how fast admissions gets to it

to all those still waiting: check your bulk folder-- that's where mine was :D
i found out about the regents on the myUCR though, not in the e-mail

yea i found regents on myUCR not e-mail..

Are there any Impacted Majors at UCR?

no idea, but i wouldnt be surprised if engineering was.

probably the normal ones. Business, liberal arts, engineering

yeah i think so.
