@thomsill I was so confused with that one… I didnt think doubled sounded right so i look at some of the choices… i put resemble because i didnt think doubled sounded right, imitate didnt make sense and neither did the other one

resemble did not make sense, if you read the sentence.

Cooldude - was neurons a or b?

thx, btw

It really confused me too, because of all of them could have worked fairly well! It wasn’t until I revisited the question and noticed the “as” that I realized it had to be left unchanged. So tricky :/

I put resemble

the matrices one was u had to set up 3 formulas… i dont remember exact but u added 2a plus something in the first bracket that equaled to thing in the last bracket

The matrix was [2, ?, -4, 8], I think. I know there were two answers that were right except for the 3rd number in the matrix. One had -4, and one had -8. You needed -8 to get right answer (12 to 4), but it was 2A, so the matrix had to have -4 in the third spot.

what did u guys say for the placement question in the african american woman passage, because if u changed the underlined portion, then the sentence wouldn’t make sense.

@thomsill
You are absolutely correct. Doubled is the only option that works because as was after the word. Here is what I mean (not sure how the sentence exactly goes):
Original in passage: The hospital also doubled as a hotel lobby.
Answer choices: resembled, imitate, and something else I dont remember lol.

Put in resembled and imitate and it will not make sense. The hospital also imitated as a hotel lobby; the hospital also resembled as a hotel lobby.

Therefore, it had to be left as is.

random math answers i remember getting:

distance formula question: 13
the one with the length of 60 and they gave you info about a square and a circle (its radius in particular i remember) and you need to solve for x: 64 - 8pi
the one about the sector of the circle for the birds or something: 60 degrees

okay, I guessed I missed the as =/
wouldn’t you need punctuation between the word movie and the title?

Oh, that reminds me. Another tricky one! f(g(10)). I believe I ended up with 7, or something of that sort. Not entirely sure though. Thoughts?

@love2sing94 those are all right

also there was question that said double memories on reading which one was it? Jacoby, Brown, I did not have time to find it. Also for the reading the one with what does the passage say about ice is false, like ice is famous during summer, ice is broken or something like that. Then about what was different between current and eddy? which of the following statement about eddy was false?

@thomsill… ya u got it right… it was fairly simple if u no how to do functions.

For matrices the answer was E (Numbers were like 3, -4, 4, 8). You have to set each number in the matrices as an equation (2x + number given = other number given).

we haven’t discussed many science questions (besides the neuron debate) - anyone want to post some answers they remember getting?

thomsill that was a composition question, you find the y coordinate of the first table so f(10) or something then u take that y coordinate and see what the y coordinate would for the answer you found in the first table.

I thought the fx one was -10?

can anyone answer my reading and writing questions?
