Feb 2009 ACT Science

The answer to that one had to be 4 years, because point A was halfway through the orbit starting from point B, and the question said that it takes 2 years to get from A to B.

2 * 2 = 4

;)

damnit. o well.

so for the record, the answer was D

was that NUMBER 36?!?
..in other words the fourth to last question

I ran out of time and guessed C on the last two questions for science. anyone confirm what they arE?

was the 4 years to oribit question #36??

^ I don't think anyone remembers which was #36, sorry.

..well maybe someone has an amazing memory

What about the question about revolutions, which asked, according to student two-the one with the ellipse-at which point is it orbiting the slowest?

I remember putting P2, the other ones were wrong I thought. The answer with the point half way between was wrong because it was at the wrong side(that is what I remember).

was P2 at the far left side of the parabola, the furthest away from the sun?

What questions were about the parabola?

crap i tihnk i put 2 years.............

yeah the answer was four years, D.

and orbit was slowest on the point that was on the far left side away from the sun.

you can know this answer with keplers law about the equal areas in equal time blah blah blah ...but I hope that the question wasnt asking what the student thought and the student was wrong =S

By any chance, on the last science passage, were there a lot of answers that were A?I didn't get to do the last passage with the exception of the first question with the K + U. I just guessed A all the way down. Anyone remember a lot of As?

oops, I meant to say far left side of the ellipse

P2 was on the far left.

My son scored 7 points higher on science Feb ACT than on the Oct one. Must have been easier!

I scored 1 pt higher on this test than the Dec one. (went from a 33 to a 34 science) I thought that it was harder for me this time, mainly with the last passage. I am happy that it went up instead of down!

I scored 10 points higher.

20-30.

I got a 36 on the science section. I'm content.
