Hey guys! What did you guys think about the Feb. 9 ACT?

i thought the english & reading were fair, but the math & science (ESP THE SCIENCE!) was weird as hell.

Math was wth.
English was great.
Reading was swell.
And science was kind of awesome. For once.

Yes. I agree w/ u Mika. English, reading, and science were pretty good. math was the hardest section in my opinion. but i was surprised b/c usually science is the hardest for me.

english was hard
math waseasy
science was super easy

English was easy
Math was easy
Reading was easy/medium.
Science was medium (only because I felt pressed for time).

I took the test without studying just to see where I stand (I'm a Junior).

English was odd. They threw a bit too many idioms at you and had an odd section on the college student girl organizing her room. (those sentence structures at the beginning of the passage were unorthodox for a typical ACT test).

Math was odd. They don't usually ask for a proof (it was Side angle side) and the f(2y) was hard for many people I would image. However, math is my strength so I did fine.

Reading was bad. That passage about the girl in her mom's house was like "***"
What do you mean her room is the heart of the house? And as always, I got into time pressure.

Science was fine. My school is very science-oriented so I was comfortable with the material. Did autonomy 3-4 weeks ago, physics is fresh, did punnet sqaures in bio (likelyhood of genetic trait) and I took AP chem so the phase diagram was 2nd nature to me. Finished with comfortable time to spare.

Essay was good. Not one I couldn't relate to nor one that I was too passionate about. Hence no apathy nor venting in my essay.

Science: much easier than usual

Math: strange questions that you wouldn't normally see (proof question), but still easy

English: too many idioms but it was standard.

Reading: everybody complained about being cramped for time, i thought it went fine and i had time to spare.

What passages gave people trouble to be so cramped for time on the Reading Section?

Reading, English and essay I thought were pretty easy. Science and Math were alright but I felt pressed for time. But I'm not really one to judge because I excel in english and reading but science and math are a struggle for me and I need a lot of time for those subjects. But I think I did okay.

By the way, on the ACT site it says that the score might be in as early as Feb. 20. Is this true? If not, do you know the date they will be available?

Good Luck to everybody and fingers crossed! :)
