@wcc you’re right just double checked only the 1st and 3rd rodent had upper incissors xD
the 2nd only had lower so it is most likely what they had in common which was urine.

*** I got this answer

- She was satisfied that her house symbolized her family’s life or something.

I think I put A on that one that it wasn’t new and nice like it used to be. Cause she talked a lot about how it was falling apart, pestal and mortar blah blah blah

So wait are you saying it was satisfied or sad?

I put sad cause like you said she talked a lot about how it was falling apart, like an old dog, and etc. I thought that she missed where she lived so that is why she compared her now old house to an old dog and also because her kids have left the family she felt lonely and from loneliness she felt sad?

i thought it was satisfied because the whole passage was basically reminiscent of her past there and although she did give a few grim details, the overall tone (bricks, old dog) gave a sense of satisfaction. thats what i went with

I thought sad I think it was (first one)

rats >< I was pressed for time so I guessed xD

I swear it’s like the proctors at my school took away 5 minutes on each section xD

She was satisfied. She was saying that the house wasn’t just a new house full of goods, but rather was full of history.

I don’t think she was sad. The feel I got was that she was satisfied.

Whar do you think a -3 will be?
33?

@Iris0208
Hopefully a 34

For Social Science, regarding the last paragraph,
it said something about having a “fresh start.”
Isn’t “a new beginning” a “camouflaged” answer according to the PR’s Cracking?

Hey guys, I’m just joining this discussion. My credentials: I got a 238 on the PSAT and a pretty high score on the SAT as well. I also got a 33 ACT as a freshman (i’m a junior now) so I am confident in my answers.

First, i am pretty sure the question with the rodents asked “according to the passage, the rodents had all of the following in common EXCEPT” or something like that. I answered with the bristle hair thing.

She was definitely satisfied with the house. She even used the word “fortunately” to describe the aging of the tile.

Any other questions we should discuss? and also, is there a forum for math, science, or english?

@RollingDice
Agree 100% with both of those answers

@RollingDice - agree 100%

Also there was a question with the straight man with answer choices A and D as follows:
(A) In a low moment of his career at a low moment, he unexpectedly found Rocky and turned his fortunes around. something like that The meeting between the narrator and Rocky was coincidental because Rocky was missing a straight man but Rocky had major misgivings about narrator. [something like that]

I put A, even though it mentioned “low” twice which is fishy, because I don’t think Rocky had any misgivings.

“He gave me a lopsided smile, as though he already believed I was funny, and right then I began to believe it myself”
[Niagara Falls All Over Again](http://www.usatoday.com/life/enter/books/fc/2001-07-25-niagara-falls-all-over-again.htm)

Real passage in the book-
“You a straight man?” the tapping guy asked.

“Sure,” I said. Of course I was. I was whatever he needed. If he’d been short a poodle for his trained-dog act, I would have dropped to the ground and wagged my tail.

“You know the Swiss Cheese Bit?”

I nodded.

He continued to tap my shoulder. Suddenly I reached up and snagged the offending finger with one fist. I was an Iowa boy. I knew how to catch pests. I could feel his finger wiggle in my hand, trying to tickle my lifeline.

“You’ll do,” he said.

“I’ll do what?” I asked.

Then I saw that beyond all that pie-brown makeup, his dark eyes shone like the rich, sweet filling in a Danish pastry: poppy-seed, or prune. He gave me a lopsided smile, as though he already believed I was funny, and right then I began to believe it myself. At least we both knew my reflexes were quick.

Thoughts?

The answer for that one is A (“low moment in a life filled with low moments”).

Sigh.
-3 so far.
What is that? a 34?

yes! thanks
@iris - depends on the curve, but probably

I absolutely hate Reading. I’m more of a Math/Science person, so, I can never get myself to pace successfully in Reading =/

Anyways, because of that, I find Science the easiest to understand. Surprisingly, I found Prose Fiction probably the more difficult one. I couldn’t seem to quickly digress the theme and the situation. After that, I didn’t really like Humanities 'cause it was just drawn-out long. I thought Social Science was decent.

Yea, not aiming too high on this one.

i agree it was ridiculously easy

The 1st passage about the lady and her house was so easy. i got all of those right. the desert one was very easy too, i got all of those as well. i struggled with the comedy one and a couple questions with the consitution. I automatically saw Plantation owners for Maryland voters and bubbled that in. I also didnt see the option of the states ignoring the individual constitutions so i put the one wher ethey were trying to adopt other countries (englands). For the comedy one i think i put the opening intruductory was saying how he messed up or something like that
