February 2012 Score Reporting Thread

My test was delayed two weeks, so…

Comp: 33
English: 33
Math: 34
Reading: 31
Science: 32

Writing not reported yet

YAY! I beat my first two scores (31, 32) so this was a success! Was hoping for a 34, but I’ll definitely take a 33. NO MORE ACT EVER AGAIN!

This was my first time to take the ACT

Composite: 34
E:34
M:32
R:36
S:33
Essay:6 -____-

The essay stresses me out, but I’m not gonna retake since I feel I got pretty lucky with the rest of my scores

English: 34
Math: 33
Reading: 34
Science: 30 (huge brainfart but I’ll take it because science is mainly a large brainfart for me)
Composite: 33
Writing: 8 (Not going to bother taking again even though I plan to major in English)
Is it worth taking the test again if I plan to apply to schools such as Northwestern, Penn (double legacy:) ), WUSTL, Emory, Vandy, Tufts, etc.?

^ Nah, 33 is fine for all of those, but if you think you can increase your score to like a 35 it wouldn’t hurt to take the test again. I’m not positive, but I think a 33 is above average at most of the schools you listed. Good luck with Penn, perhaps you will be joining me, a fellow legacy, in applying ED?

fyi: I don’t know if you know this, but a legacy and a double/triple/etc. legacy are weighted the same at Penn.
