Definitely going to work harder to get morscholarship money
Just FYI, the easiest scholarships to get are merit ones, so always tipsy to retest and do the best you can cause after that the going gets tough for getting scholarships. You can apply like crazy, doesn’t mean you’ll win… Trust me on that
Always TRY not tipsy
First time taking it and got a Composite 36 with two months of self-studying! If anyone needs help, feel free to PM me!

English: 35
Math: 28
Reading: 34

C: 30

E:22
M:36
R:22
S:33
C:28 (28.25)
Wow, one more point and I would have got a 29. I think my score is ok as I am a sophomore and I did minimal studying. I believe my score accurately represents my strengths and weaknesses, but it wouldn’t hurt to bring up the reading and science. The only thing Is that I do not know which ones I have missed for the 33 in science. I may have made two stupid mistakes if the curve is harsh. I wish I could get a TIR. We will also have to wait and see for science.
Anyone know why my scores aren’t there and when will they come??
quick question do the writing scores affect the composite scores a lot? I got a 34 comp, with a 32 on reading and 35 on English. If I got a 10-12 on essay, could it go up to a 35/36
Why is it that i got a 33 on all four of my practice tests before the real test and then got a 31 on the real test? How does that happen? Does the practice not count for anything?
The ACT doesn’t release updated material for practice. Man I like the SAT so much better.
When will scores come out
@brainiac180 Essay scores are reported separately. They don’t affect your composite score.
My son went from a 27 in English to a 29. From a 24 in reading to a 30. From a 19 in math to 20 (it’s okay; we’ll take it) The killer for him was science, which he thought he had done well on. Went from a 21 to a 16. Composite 24. He needed a 26 for a state scholarship. Oh well, it’s not going to happen. One of the hazard of waiting till your senior year to test.
Yea science killed me, I was averaging 34-35 on practice tests, and got a 25…,my english, math, and reading were all good around a 34/35
i was consistently getting 33-34s on my english practice tests, but i only got a 31 on the real deal. i am just glad i jumped up 6 points from my initial 25 composite last year
My junior S took it for the first time and we are pleased although there is room for much improvement:
Composite 26
English 24
Math 27
Reading 23
Science 29
He was not approved for extra time accommodation and we were concerned about that since he is a slow reader and not great with vocabulary. He will test again in April.
