good luck everyone!
I’m freaking out haha
Good luck to everyone. Going over my last practice test right now.
I hope tomorrow is easy for us. This is my last ACT (3rd time). Hope I hit 33+. Good luck to all!
1st ACT. I’m a junior. No prep. And I’m freaking out!!!
Hey @c011e9e I am in the exact same boat as you, last time I took a standardized test was back in Dec. for the SAT. I am seriously freaking out as well because in my practice test I got a 20 in reading (you really need to go faster than SAT speeds). Good luck man, enjoy the 4 hour ride.
@c011e9e same! i’m really anxious x_x
I took the 2016 practice test 35 English 35 Math, 30 Science, Reading 34. I make lots of dumb mistakes any last few tips
One thing that works for me is listening to classical music on the drive there and putting my phone on airplane mode so I don’t get distracted before the test. That and superstitions about my Harvard sweatshirt (hope I can find it lol).
Going to bed now–GOOD LUCK AND DON’T PANIC TOO MUCH! I’ll revisit this thread after the test
Best of luck everyone !!! WE CAN DO THIS
How’s everyone tackling the essay?
English: Idk how I feel about it
Math: EASY (harder than December tho)
Reading: Easy
Science: Easy
Overall, I thought this ACT was fairly simple.
Yeah English I was iffy on but the rest of the sections felt easy. Curve probably won’t be generous. This was the first time I think I’ve done great on the science and math section lol.
I spent way too many minutes trying to make my intro paragraph make sense… that’s my weakness for all these timed essays so gotta improve on that lol.
I felt like English was harder than usual, math was like usual, reading was easier than usual, and science was easier than usual (or maybe I’ve just gotten better since this is my 3rd time.)
I’m hoping for a 36 in english and math and a 35+ in reading and science (ESP science), and a 30+ in writing. I’m pretty confident that I made most of these goals!
Why was English harder?
@marsha.ss some of the questions were more ambiguous than usual
English: average
Math: little harder than average
Reading: slightly easier
Science: easier
Essay: easy
English: easy
Math: easy, but a few very difficult questions
reading: easy
science: moderate
I don’t remember what form i had? Does anyone know theirs? I wanna say i had 73f or 72f
